What difference do you think is between the rfactor version and the GSCE version. Have you tried the GT's in the GSCE version? If so what do you think is different?

The only thing I see missing is the Areo packages.

Ok with a bit of research i figured out what the issue is with the GSCE edition of WES. the issue is that the update is not installed. I have applied the latest update to the mod from Simtek and now it has all the bug fix's and the car upgrades (Areo Packages). Right now i'm packaging it back up into a setup.exe. Its a pretty legit mod, i really like it. It has it's own class, and loading screen. It does not mix with any other GSCE mods. i like it. I will test further and then share. From the looks of it we have a winner. i keep everyone updated.

I did a bit of test myself and I aprove it. It feels the same as rF1, but the FFB is much better and smoother. Also looks better in GSC as usual. All things seems to be working. Lights, shift lights, mirrors, LCD´s, all the small details seem to be functioning.
I dont like the Aero Pack thing in the original Mod after the update, I think was a change for the worse. If I had to choose I would say leave as it was converted.
I tested the Vette GT at Spa and the P2 Lola at Sebring. Feels really, really good!
As usual our problem will be the turn out and people willing to race.
But looks like a great Mod and well converted.

Yes Agreed. the Areo packs seemed to be just one part of the update. Here is a list of what else the update fixed. - fix oil/water temperature - Fix bug on lightflares GMT´s - Fix some Vehicle camera - Fix bug on Aston Martin, Porsche 991 and Ferrari 458 GTE Skins - Now all cars have under Upgrades menu have the ability to choose aero packages (low/high downforce). - Adjustments on SFX file for skid sounds in all cars. - Other minor adjustments/fixes.
I'm sure you already seen that. The Areo packages are selectable so we just don't have to run it. I love the mod though it is amazing. I'm willing to run 1.0 if we can get an agreement with other. I want to run with you guys on Wednesdays at GBR, maybe we can do GSCE on the alternate weeks with the GSCE WES and maybe get some of the guys from GBR to join us.

Thing is...there is no way to police who is using the Upgrades and who is not. And at some tracks the difference of lap times is huge between those upgrades. Well, we have a patch at GBR that supresses the Aero Packs. It works quite flawless in rF1. You can use the Mod with and without the upgrades. Since the folder structure is the same, I see no reason why it shouldnt work in GSC. That way we can use the most up to date version, assuming we can get all working. You can get the patch to rF1 here: gbr.proboards.com/thread/3751/downloadsBut first contact David Faria or Jason Hawks there via PM and ask permission to use this patch in the GSC version.

Yes I like it. I will PM the guys and see if I can get approval. I like it when your onboard Angelo! I've been testing an it works great. I'm sure the patch will work just fine.

Do you need to do a 2nd install of GSCE to apply this on? Or do you just apply it to the original GSCE without any problems?

You can apply in the normal instalation. There is a uninstall utility that comes with the Mod.

Yes confirmed, this integrates directly into GSCE without issue. It has it's own class and loading screen and does not interfere with any other mod.

Ok I did look at the patch, which is not a patch at all. The file is an existing file called upgrades, each car has one. You open with notepad and just delete the Areo section so it's not available in the menu. Simple enough. I will make the change to the GSCE_WES_1.1 version and it will be ready for league use.
